How to Make Craps Bets
What is craps? It’s played with dice at a table that looks like a rectangular tub. At one of the longer sides, there are 2,000 chips that will be used for betting. Players will throw dice at the shorter sides. Since the game of craps is so high-paced, there are 4 employees who serve it to avoid any mistakes.
On the table, the following types of bets are generally available at most casinos. You need to study them if you want to know how to make craps bets.

|Don’t Pass||The players get the Don’t Pass bet if they roll 2 or 3; lose if they roll 7 or 11; neither win nor lose if they roll 12; set the point if it is any other number. Once the point is set, the player must roll 7 before rolling the set number to win.||1-1|

How to Play Craps at Casino: The Rules
Now that you know how to bet craps, how do you play craps? Players of craps roll two dice in turns. Bets are placed on the table. You can join the game by coming up to the table and placing money on it. After that, you will be given chips you can use to bet. Here is how to play craps at casino:
- The shooter (a person rolling at the moment) chooses two dice they are going to use for the round, bets on the Pass/Don’t Pass lines (obligatory) and makes any additional bets (not obligatory).
- The first roll (“Come-out” roll) is made. The number that is rolled determines whose Pass/Don’t Pass win.
- The shooter proceeds to roll till establishing the Point. The round continues if the Point is matched or ends when a 7 is rolled (known as “seven-out”). Then, the turn moves to the next person clockwise who starts a new round.
- The dealer collects all the losing bets from the table, pays out the winning ones, and places new bets in between the rounds.
How to Win at Craps: A Few Simple Strategies
The first and most important principle of how to play craps and win is choosing bets with the lowest house edge. These are Don’t Pass (1.36%), Pass (1.41%), and Odds (no edge). The Odds are placed just outside the Pass and Don’t Pass lines and can be 3, 4, or 5 times (this depends on the casino) the amount of your bet on those lines. The bets that have the highest house edge are proposition bets (from 5 to 17 percent), and they should be avoided.
Next, don’t forget about your budget and limits. You should have a set amount of money in your budget and gamble only with it. Set a limit on how much you can lose or how much you want to win. Stop playing as soon as those limits have been reached. The longer you play, the more likely you are to lose in the end.
